Mompreneur of the year awards! (And you get a tiara if you win!)

Ladies, this is your chance to get recognized for the hard work you do that only other WAHMs and Mompreneurs can understand. The Mompreneur of the Year awards are upon us and here are the details:

Are you a mompreneur®? Do you gracefully juggle the needs of your business and your family without skipping a beat? Can you pitch a client on the phone while preparing a kid-friendly dinner? Can you deliver that big project on deadline while potty training your toddler? Do you have the flexibility to take your child to the playground in the middle of the work day? Then you are definitely a mompreneur®! Being a mompreneur® takes a special kind of woman. A mompreneur® is a natural-born multi-tasker. She’s patient, works well under pressure, handles her workload with ease and manages to get it all done, and do it successfully, with children and a household to look after.

If this sounds like you, we want to know! Tell us about your business and why you love being a mompreneur®. Be original. Be creative. Submit your 2-3 minute video and family/individual photo to us no later than February 28, 2010 to be considered this year’s Mompreneur® of the Year. Please note: You must reside in the Southwest Region (California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Oklahoma and Texas) to be eligible for this award.)

Contest Rules:

• You must be a mom no matter what age your children are. First-time pregnant women entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend the event and apply for the contest next year. Sorry, ladies!
• You must be an entrepreneur and own a business. If you are an independent consultant for companies like Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Send Out Cards, etc., you are eligible to enter.
• Your video must include your name, company name and be three minutes in length max.
• You must reside in the Southwest region to be eligible for this award (California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Oklahoma and Texas).
• You allow Details Event Management to use your video for promotional/marketing purposes on the Mompreneur® of the Year web site and other affiliate/media sites including television stations.
• You are comfortable and willing to make TV appearances if named a top 10 finalist.
• If you are one of the top 10 finalists, you must attend the event on April 17 or you will forfeit your chance at the title.

Please mail your DVD and family/individual photo on CD to Details Event Management, Attn: Mompreneur of the Year, 3591 S. Tatum Lane, Gilbert, AZ 85297 no later than March 1, 2010. The contest will close on March 1, 2010 for judging. We will announce the top 10 finalists by March 15 and place the 10 videos on MompreneuroftheYear.com for the nation to vote on. The general public will decide who this year’s Mompreneur of the Year is and it will be announced at the event on April 17. Please note, once received, materials become the property of Details Event Management and will not be returned.
